1. Uターン
Uターンは、車両が向きを変え、来た方向と反対へ走行する運転操作です。通常は車道の一部を横切り、反対方向の交通へ入り直します。
周囲の交通、歩行者、自転車を確認し、必要な合図を行い、十分な視界と空間があることを確認して安全に行います。標識や特定道路ではUターンが禁止されることがあります。
Must you give way when making a U-turn in Belgium?
Yes. Turning around is considered a manoeuvre, so the driver making the U-turn must give way to other road users and only begin when the manoeuvre can be completed safely.
What does Belgian sign C33 mean?
Sign C33 prohibits drivers from turning around. The prohibition applies from the sign up to and including the next intersection.
Can you make a U-turn on a Belgian motorway or autoweg?
No. Turning around is prohibited on motorways. The same prohibition also applies on autowegen.
