交差点形状図は、前方の交差点やジャンクションの形を模式的に示す図です。道路がどのように分岐、交差、継続するかを示し、到達前に進行方向を理解する助けになります。
この図は事前方面案内標識でよく使われます。国の標識体系によっては、主要道路、側道、路線番号、目的地も区別して示します。
