1. U-turn

A U-turn is a driving maneuver where a vehicle turns 180 degrees to go in the opposite direction from where it was originally heading—basically making a U-shaped path, which is where it gets its name.

  • U-turns are often prohibited near hills, curves, or intersections where you can't see oncoming traffic well.
  • Only do U-turns when:
    • There’s good visibility.
    • It's legal.
    • It's safe and doesn’t interfere with traffic.
