カーゴバイクは、通常の自転車より多くの荷物、子ども、その他の大きな積載物を運ぶため設計された自転車です。前後のボックスや荷台、延長された後部キャリア、多輪構造などを備える場合があります。
人力のみの場合も、電動アシストを備える場合もあります。許容寸法、乗車定員、自転車道の利用、電動アシストの上限などは現地の交通・車両規則によります。
