1. 最低速度
最低速度は、特定の道路または条件で車両が維持することを求められる最低の速度です。不必要に遅い走行による交通妨害や、道路利用者間の大きな速度差を防ぐことを目的としています。
ただし、交通、天候、視界、路面状況、安全上の理由で減速が必要な場合まで最低速度を維持する義務はありません。最低速度の表示方法や取締方法は国によって異なります。
What is a minimum speed?
A minimum speed is the lowest speed that vehicles are normally required to maintain on a particular road or in a specified traffic situation.
Must you maintain the minimum speed in dangerous conditions?
No. Safety takes priority. Drivers may need to travel more slowly because of congestion, poor weather, limited visibility, roadworks or another legitimate reason.
Why are minimum speeds used?
Minimum speeds can help reduce excessive differences in speed between vehicles and prevent unnecessarily slow traffic from obstructing normal traffic flow.
