1. 双方向交通
双方向交通は、同じ道路または車道で車両が反対方向へ走行できる状態です。対向交通は路面標示、中央分離帯で分けられる場合も、狭い道路では物理的な分離がない場合もあります。
双方向道路では、運転者は現地交通規則で定められた側を走行し、対向車に注意し、追い越し、右左折、狭い区間の通過時に特に注意します。
What is two-way traffic?
Two-way traffic means that vehicles may travel in both directions along the same road or carriageway.
How are opposing traffic directions separated?
They may be separated by centre lines, traffic lanes, a median or another physical divider. On some roads, opposing traffic may share an undivided carriageway.
Why should you take extra care on a two-way road?
Vehicles may approach from the opposite direction, so drivers should maintain a safe position and take particular care when overtaking, turning or passing through narrow sections.
