1. 車間距離不保持
車間距離不保持は、前車が急減速・停止した場合に安全に反応・停止できる十分な距離を残さず接近して走ることです。安全な車間距離は速度、路面、天候、視界などで変わります。
運転者は前車との十分な間隔を保ち、雨、雪、霧など停止距離が増える条件ではさらに距離を広げます。
What is tailgating?
Tailgating means following another vehicle too closely to maintain a safe stopping distance.
Why is tailgating dangerous?
Following too closely gives the driver less time and distance to react if the vehicle ahead brakes, slows down or encounters an unexpected hazard.
When should you increase your following distance?
You should increase the distance in conditions such as rain, snow, ice, fog, darkness or poor road surfaces and whenever visibility or tyre grip is reduced.
