案内所は、周辺地域、地域サービス、観光地、経路、その他の施設に関する情報を旅行者が得られる指定場所です。道路沿い、休憩所、町、主要目的地付近などに設けられます。
サービス・情報標識で示されることが多く、場所により地図、パンフレット、経路情報、観光案内、デジタル情報などを提供します。
