1. 休憩所
休憩所は、道路や高速道路の本線交通から離れて休憩できる指定場所です。駐車スペースのほか、場所によってトイレ、ピクニック設備、飲食、燃料、充電設備などがあります。
運転者と乗員が走行交通から離れたより安全な場所で休息できるようにする施設です。設備内容や案内標識は国によって異なります。
What is a rest area?
A rest area is a designated place beside a road or motorway where travellers can park and take a break from their journey.
What facilities can a rest area provide?
Depending on the location, a rest area may provide parking, toilets, picnic facilities, food, fuel, charging stations or other traveller services.
Why are rest areas important?
Rest areas give drivers a suitable place to stop, rest and reduce fatigue without stopping on the main traffic lanes or roadside.
