血液検査は、血液中のアルコール濃度を測定するために使われます。医療従事者が採血し、検査室で血中アルコール濃度(BAC)を分析します。交通取締りでは、呼気検査が不可能・不適切な場合、事故後、呼気結果への再検査などで使用されることがあります。血液検査を要求できる状況と法定アルコール基準は国によって異なります。
