1. トラック
トラックは主に貨物輸送用に設計された自動車です。小型配送車から長距離輸送用の大型貨物車・連結車まであります。
一般に乗用車より大きく重く、取り回しが遅いため、旋回・制動により大きな空間が必要で、死角も広くなります。重量や国に応じて速度、車線利用、追い越し、進入に特別規則が適用されます。
What is a truck?
A truck is a motor vehicle designed primarily for transporting goods.
Are all trucks considered heavy goods vehicles?
No. Trucks can include lighter goods vehicles as well as heavy trucks. Traffic laws often apply different rules according to the vehicle's maximum authorised mass.
Why should other road users take extra care around trucks?
Trucks may have larger blind spots, longer stopping distances and wider turning paths than smaller vehicles, so other road users should avoid remaining unnecessarily close beside or in front of them.
