1. 交通静穏化
交通静穏化は、特に歩行者や自転車と自動車が近接する地域で車両速度を下げ安全性を高める道路設計対策です。速度ハンプ、嵩上げ横断歩道、道路狭窄、シケイン、交通島、道路配置や舗装の変更などがあります。
目的は速度標識だけに頼らず、運転者がより低く適切な速度で走るよう促すことです。使用される設備や法的要件は国によって異なります。
