122. Mailman
A mailman, or postal worker, is a person who collects, transports or delivers letters, parcels and other postal items. Postal workers may travel on foot or use bicycles, vans, motorcycles or other vehicles while completing their delivery routes.
When working near roads, postal workers must follow the traffic rules that apply to pedestrians, cyclists or drivers according to how they are travelling. Other road users should take care where postal workers may frequently stop, cross the road or enter and leave vehicles.

Do postal workers have special traffic priority in Belgium?
No general special priority is granted simply because someone is a postal worker. They must follow the traffic rules applicable to them as pedestrians, cyclists or drivers.
Do postal delivery vehicles have a general exemption from Belgian parking rules?
No general postal-service exemption is defined in the current Belgian Road Code. Postal delivery vehicles must follow the applicable stopping and parking rules unless a specific local authorisation or traffic arrangement provides otherwise.
Can Belgian road signs indicate a post office?
Yes. The Belgian F34a direction sign may guide road users toward public or general-interest facilities, including a post office.
