1. Car body

The car body is the main outer structure of a vehicle that forms its shape, appearance, and passenger compartment. It includes all the visible parts of a car’s exterior and some interior framing—basically, it’s the shell of the car that you see and sit inside. In short: The car body is the physical form and structure of the vehicle—it's what protects you, holds everything together, and gives your car its look and function.
