1. Steering wheel

A steering wheel is the circular control device in front of the driver that’s used to steer and control the direction of a vehicle. Turning the steering wheel rotates the front wheels (or rear in some special vehicles)

  • Use both hands (usually at 9 and 3 o'clock for safety).
  • Always steer smoothly, especially in curves or wet roads.
  • Don’t oversteer or jerk the wheel suddenly.
  • Key Parts of a Steering Wheel:
    • Wheel rim - The part you hold and turn.
    • Horn - Usually located at the center; used to warn others.
    • Airbag (inside) - Inflates in case of a collision for safety.
    • Buttons/controls - May include volume, cruise control, phone, etc...
