96. Roller skates

Roller skates are footwear fitted with wheels that allow a person to move by skating over a smooth surface. Traditional roller skates usually have four wheels arranged in two pairs, while inline skates have their wheels arranged in a single line.

Roller skaters should maintain control, adapt their speed to the surroundings and watch carefully for pedestrians, cyclists, vehicles and uneven surfaces. Where roller skating is permitted and which traffic rules apply vary between countries.
