8. 速度抑制ハンプ

速度抑制ハンプは、車両を物理的に減速させるため道路表面を盛り上げた交通静穏化設備です。住宅地、学校周辺、歩行者の多い場所などで使われます。

運転者はハンプへ近づく前に速度を落とし、滑らかに通過して車両や乗員への衝撃を避ける必要があります。ハンプ自体が常に特定の法定速度を示すわけではないため、掲示された速度制限にも従います。

What is the purpose of a speed bump?

A speed bump is intended to physically reduce vehicle speeds. It encourages drivers to slow down in places where pedestrians, cyclists, children or local traffic may be present.

How can you recognise a speed bump?

A speed bump is a raised section extending across all or part of the road. It may be marked with contrasting paint, road markings or warning signs to make it more visible.

Is a speed bump the same as a speed table?

Is a speed cushion the same as a speed bump?
