156. 車両灯火
車両灯火は、運転者の視界を確保し、車両を見えやすくし、他の道路利用者へ意思を伝えるための灯火・合図装置です。ロービーム、ハイビーム、車幅灯、デイタイムランニングライト、尾灯、制動灯、方向指示器、後退灯、フォグランプ、ハザードランプなどがあります。
視界、天候、交通状況に適した灯火を使用します。灯火は清潔で正常に作動する状態に保ち、他の道路利用者を眩惑する可能性のある灯火は許可される場合だけ使用します。
When must vehicle lights be used in Belgium?
Between nightfall and daybreak, and whenever visibility is reduced so that it is no longer possible to see clearly for approximately 200 metres, motor vehicles must use dipped-beam or main-beam headlights together with the required rear lights.
When must you change from main beam to dipped beam in Belgium?
Main beam must be replaced by dipped beam when approaching an oncoming road user who could be dazzled, when following another vehicle at less than 50 metres except while overtaking, and when the road is continuously and sufficiently illuminated to allow clear visibility for approximately 100 metres.
When may fog lights be used in Belgium?
Front fog lights may only be used in fog, snowfall or heavy rain. Rear fog lights must be used in fog or snowfall when visibility is reduced to less than 100 metres and also in heavy rain, and they may not be used in other circumstances.
