152. Play street
A play street is a street that is temporarily closed or restricted to normal motor traffic so that people, especially children, can use the roadway for play and recreation. Play streets are usually created during specific hours or days and are marked with temporary barriers or traffic signs.
Within a play street, people playing are given priority over permitted vehicle traffic. Any vehicles that are allowed to enter must travel very slowly and avoid endangering or obstructing people using the street.
