1. Child restraints

Child restraints are safety devices designed to protect infants and children while riding in a vehicle. They are specialized seats or harnesses that ensure children are properly secured based on their age, weight, and height, since regular seatbelts are not safe or effective for young passengers.

  • Reduces the risk of injury or death in a crash.
  • Keeps children properly positioned during sudden stops.
  • Required by law in most countries—with strict rules for installation and use.
  • Never place a rear-facing seat in front of an active airbag.
  • Always install seats according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Make sure the child is properly strapped in and the seat is securely fastened.
  • Types of Child Restraint Systems:
    • Rear-Facing Car Seat (for infants and small toddlers).
    • Forward-Facing Car Seat (for toddlers and young children).
    • Booster Seat (for older children).
