A train station is a place on a railway network where trains stop to allow passengers to board, leave or change trains. Stations may include platforms, waiting areas, ticket facilities and connections with other forms of transport.

Train stations are often important transport hubs and may provide access to buses, trams, metros, taxis, bicycle facilities, parking areas and passenger drop-off zones. Travellers and drivers approaching a station must follow the applicable traffic signs, parking rules and railway safety instructions.
