1. All-way stop

An all-way stop is an intersection where all approaching vehicles from every direction must stop. At an all-way stop, every driver is required to come to a complete stop before continuing through the intersection, regardless of their direction of travel.

  • Come to a complete stop at the stop sign (before the stop line, crosswalk, or intersection).
  • Check for other vehicles and pedestrians coming from all directions.
  • Yield to vehicles or pedestrians that have the right of way.
  • Proceed when it is safe, following the 'first come, first served' rule, or in the case of multiple vehicles arriving at the same time, the vehicle on the right has the right of way.
