91. Road code

A road code is a collection of laws and traffic rules that regulate how people use public roads. It establishes rules for drivers, cyclists, pedestrians and other road users and covers subjects such as priority, speed, overtaking, parking, traffic lights, road signs and road markings.

Road codes differ between countries and sometimes between regions. Every road user is expected to know and follow the rules that apply where they are travelling, even when those rules differ from those in their home country.
