1. Warning triangle
A warning triangle is a portable reflective device used to warn approaching drivers of a hazard or stopped vehicle ahead, such as a breakdown or accident. It is placed on the road at a safe distance to increase visibility and prevent collisions.
- Place the triangle behind your vehicle (in the direction of traffic).
- On normal roads: about 30 meters away.
- On high-speed roads: about 100 meters or more.
- Ensure it is clearly visible to approaching traffic.
- Place the triangle as soon as safely possible and turn on hazard lights.
- Stay in a safe location (e.g. behind a barrier if available).
