1. Crossroad shape
A crossroad shape sign is an additional panel placed below a main warning or priority sign that shows the exact layout of an upcoming intersection. It provides a simplified diagram of the junction, indicating how roads connect (e.g. straight crossing, T-junction, side road from left/right), so drivers can better understand the structure of the intersection and anticipate traffic from specific directions.
- Mounted below another sign (not used on its own).
- Shows the shape of the junction ahead.
- Highlights the priority road with a thicker line.
- Common Variants:
- Crossroads (4-way intersection).
- T-junction (left or right).
- Side road joining from left or right.
- Priority road bending through the junction.
