A weigh station is a checkpoint along a highway where trucks and commercial vehicles are weighed and inspected to ensure they comply with legal weight limits, safety regulations, and permits. In short: A weigh station helps keep highways safe and fair by ensuring trucks aren’t overloaded, drivers are compliant, and road rules are followed.
