1. Cable barrier

A cable barrier is a type of road safety system made of tensioned steel cables mounted on posts, designed to catch and slow down vehicles that leave the roadway.

  • Several strong steel cables (usually 3 or 4) stretched between metal or concrete posts.
  • Placed along highways, medians, or road edges.
  • Flexible and designed to bend and absorb impact, not stop a vehicle abruptly.
