1. Guardrail
A guardrail is a safety barrier installed along roads and highways to prevent vehicles from leaving the roadway—especially in dangerous areas like curves, bridges, steep slopes, or drop-offs.
- Absorbs impact when a vehicle hits it.
- Redirects the vehicle back onto the road.
- Prevents cars from going into ditches, rivers, cliffs, or oncoming lanes.
