1. Abs

ABS stands for Anti-lock Braking System — a safety feature in vehicles that helps prevent the wheels from locking up during hard or sudden braking. This allows the driver to maintain steering control, even in slippery conditions. In short: ABS helps you stop without losing control. It's like your car's way of "pumping the brakes" better and faster than you ever could!

  • When you slam on the brakes, especially on wet or icy roads, your wheels might lock up (stop spinning), causing you to skid.
  • ABS pulses the brakes rapidly (up to 15 times per second), preventing wheel lock-up.
  • This gives you a better chance to steer around an obstacle instead of sliding into it.
  • ABS Warning Light: If it lights up on your dashboard and stays on, it means the system may be disabled or malfunctioning — you should get it checked as soon as possible.
